Nattō is a traditional Japanese food made from soybeans. The beans are mixed with a bacteria called Bacillus subtilis. The bacteria breaks down the complex proteins in soy into simpler ones that give natto its distinct flavor and texture. Natto is often served with chopped scallions, katsuo shavings, and boiled or fried tofu.

It sounds crazy, but in Tanzania, they serve the soup with ugali, which is cooked cornmeal that looks like a porridge. The meal is enjoyed by dipping pieces of bread in the soup and then scooping up a bit of broth to mix in. 3) Haggis

Haggis is a dish made of sheep's heart, liver and lungs that has been soaked in water, minced onion, oatmeal, suet (beef or mutton fat), butter or vegetable oil, salt and pepper. Haggis is traditionally cooked in an animal stomach for about three hours; modern variations are often steamed in tins or cooking bags. In the most northerly parts of Scotland haggis is typically served with turnips mashed with butter, parsley and pepper.

Durian fruit is a tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia, with a unique taste and potent odour. When ripe it has soft spongy yellow flesh and is sold in most parts of Malaysia. The juice of this fruit smells very rank, described as smelling like onions, garlic, cloves and smelly feet while its flavour has been compared to vanilla ice cream or custard. The variety most commonly found in Malaysia is ‘Raja’ which grows up to 25 centimeters long by 15 centimeters wide.
