The Top 5 Reasons You Should Visit the Philippines at Any Time of the Year
The Philippines are home to over 7,000 islands and islets scattered across South East Asia. It’s divided into 3 main regions; Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao – each with its own unique identity, culture, and natural beauty. The country has something to offer everyone – from the mountains of Luzon to the rainforests of Mindanao and everything in between! Here are 5 reasons you should visit the Philippines at any time of the year!
Amazing Weather Throughout the Year
The climate in the Philippines is fantastic all year round. You may enjoy many bright days even during the rainy season, which lasts from June to November. When it’s not raining, you will experience a comfortable temperature of 82 degrees Fahrenheit. When it is hot outside, take a dip in one of our world-class beaches and when it’s cold outside there are plenty of museums to explore!
It’s Budget Friendly
Despite being a famous tourist destination, the Philippines is still a fantastic choice for travellers on a budget. The cost of living in the nation is surprisingly low, especially if you go off-peak. For example, the average cost of an international roundtrip flight from Singapore to Manila is about $200-$250. It’s Safe: Unlike other countries that are popular with tourists but are also known for terrorist attacks or crime rates, the Philippines is safe for visitors.
Tasty Food
The Philippines should be worth visiting just for the food, in my opinion. The cuisine is delicious, bursting with unique flavours, and reasonably priced. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, whether you're looking for local fare or international dishes like sushi or steak. There's even a Filipino fast-food chain called Jollibee that serves up fried chicken (called chicken joy), hamburgers (called hamjoy) and spaghetti (jolog–get it?). I was always on the lookout for new restaurants to try out whenever I visited the country!
Natural Beauties
The Philippines' natural splendours are exceptional. You seem to be able to take in the gorgeous landscape and sights wherever you go. Not to mention the beaches, which feature fine white sand and azure oceans. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, then the peaceful countryside is perfect for you.
As well as this, there's plenty for animal lovers with a whole host of species living here too – like monkeys! We've got monkeys! But don't worry about them as they're generally harmless unless provoked.
If that's not enough to tempt you here's one last reason: shopping!
Friendly Locals
Foreign tourists are welcomed with open arms by Filipinos. They will be happy to assist you in exploring their nation, getting to know the people, and learning about their culture. Visiting someone’s home is a tradition that is not only special but also welcoming. The Philippines has many different cultures, so it would be hard not to find a Filipino family who shares your own customs or background . Filipinos are proud of their traditions and work hard to maintain them.
