The only thing you need to do is travel to Tunisia if you want to see the famous planet of Tatooine from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Star Wars enthusiasts may still visit the abandoned but well-preserved film location there in the Sahara desert. The town of Matmata, near Tunis, was once home to various movie sets for films like Conan the Barbarian and Return of the Jedi before being transformed into Tatooine for The Phantom Menace. Recently, satellite images revealed an enormous sand storm had engulfed this remote area, so be sure not to head out on your Star Wars adventure without checking on its status first!

The Town Of Spectre, Big Fish

In Tim Burton’s Big Fish, the village of Spectre seems perfect and lovely, and you may still go there. The imaginary hamlet is really situated on a private island in Montgomery, Alabama, and it has a very eerie appearance. You can’t visit its interior, but you can explore its exterior, which is full of Victorian-style buildings and beautiful landscaping. It was used as filming location for many movies including Disney’s Pollyanna with Hayley Mills.

The Hunger Games was filmed at the Henry River Mill Village in North Carolina, and fans may still go there today. This town, which was abandoned in 1987, was the ideal location for the film since it resembles Katniss Everdeen’s District 12 in terms of spookiness. Visitors can see what is left of the town now and even take a tour to see some scenes from the movie. You might even be able to spot Rue when you visit!
