The Michelin-Star Restaurant in the Most Remote Place on Earth

The world’s best chefs in the most luxurious settings are great and all, but there’s something to be said about getting outside of your comfort zone and going somewhere you’ve never been before, somewhere where you can try new things and experience new sights, sounds, and tastes. But how do you find such a remote locale? Greenland might have the answer with this Michelin-star restaurant that serves up some of the most unique dishes you’ll ever taste!

1 – On a tiny island in Greenland, there is the most isolated eating location ever.

Now that we’ve discovered what appears to be the most distant Michelin-star restaurant, we know everything about the most unexpected Michelin-star restaurant. Ilimanaq, which has a population of around 50 people and can only be reached by boat, is where KOKS is now situated. Depending on the weather, it can take 40 minutes or less to reach the little island. Because the area is so small, there isn’t much to do but take in the scenery and savour the cuisine that KOKS has to offer.

2 – For the summer of 2022, Ilimanaq will only provide the most distant eating experience ever.

Better move quickly if you want to have the most distant eating experience ever. In Ilimanaq, KOKS will only stay for the summer of 2022. Between June 12 and September 8, it will be temporarily located there before heading back to the Faroe Islands. The site, which is still rather remote, is where KOKS was initially founded. If you come here after September 8, you’ll still have a secluded eating experience because the community only has 250 residents.

3 – The most remote dining experience ever offers a ton of mouthwatering foods.

Whether or not you have time to visit KOKS this summer, it’s definitely worth a trip when you can. Over the past five years, the restaurant has received two Michelin stars, in part because it uses sustainable and local sourcing practises. Here, you get to enjoy a tonne of delectable cuisine because of the 17-course tasting menu that allows you to fully explore your palate. You may take in all of this while gazing out over the ocean, where icebergs are drifting by. Just keep in mind that there are only a few dozen seats available each night, so you’ll need to act quickly if you want to obtain one.

4- There are some interesting prospects in the area surrounding the most isolated eating experience ever.

KOKS plans to open a permanent restaurant in the Faroe Islands by 2024. This merely adds to the myriad of compelling reasons already in place to travel to this location. Naturally, KOKS might not come back to Ilimanaq if there is a permanent restaurant, so it is best to take advantage of it while it is there. Maybe combine it with a trip to Greenland to hike the Arctic Circle or just to take in everything the lovely nation has to offer? This area is full of breathtaking landscape and fascinating history, including the fact that the Titanic iceberg originated here.
