Kuang Si Falls, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Laos, must be seen to be believed. Three-tiered hillside waterfalls cascade into blue water pools under this natural beauty, several of which are swimmable. Additionally, there are bridges and walkways that will take you around the waterfalls while providing breathtaking views. Kuang Si is about a four-hour drive from Luang Prabang, but it’s worth every minute.
The falls provide an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city so make sure you bring your camera!

Khon Phapheng Falls

The greatest waterfall in Southeast Asia, Khone Phapheng Falls is most renowned for being the widest waterfall in the whole world. In contrast to Kuang Si, it is best viewed from a distance due to its treacherous rapids. However, if you’re up for a challenge, you can swim with these white-water falls. There are two natural pools just before the falls where visitors are able to bathe. Just be sure not to go over your head!
