Best Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe Ever

If you’re looking for the best peanut butter cookies ever, you’ve found them! This is a recipe that everyone needs to have on their recipe box. It’s a family favorite, and it’s been circulating around our family for as long as I can remember! There are endless ways to make peanut butter cookies, but this one always results in some of the fluffiest, chewiest, and softest peanut butter cookies every time you bake them! It’s even easy enough that kids can help with the preparation and enjoy licking the beaters as well!

-1/2 cup butter, softened to room temperature
-1/2 cup packed brown sugar
-1/4 cup granulated sugar
-1 egg, beaten until light and fluffy
-3 tablespoons milk
-2 cups all purpose flour
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 teaspoon salt -1 cup creamy peanut butter
-1/2 cup chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, sugar, egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add in flour, salt and baking soda and stir until dough forms – the mixture will be very thick.
  4. Roll dough into small balls and place on prepared baking sheet about two inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow cookies to cool on the pan for five minutes before transferring them to wire rack to cool completely.

Add in the egg and vanilla extract and continue mixing until smooth, but not runny. If desired, add chocolate chips or other mix-ins at this time by folding them into the batter with a spatula or spoon.
