8 Tips For Going Away With Your Partner Without Killing Each Other

Most people want to spend as much time with their partners as they can, but sometimes it’s necessary to take some time away from the day-to-day to really get to know each other all over again. Whether you need some alone time, or just can’t handle being around each other, there are certain things you should never do if you want to have any chance of getting away without killing your partner and being arrested after the fact. Follow these tips if you want your trip to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

1) Ensure you book accommodation that allows for some privacy
A great way to help make sure you don’t kill your partner is by booking a room that allows for some privacy. Hotels and motels typically have rooms with either two queen beds or one king-sized bed, so if you’re planning on sharing a room, we recommend booking one of those options.

2) Spend time together before you travel
Plan activities and outings before you leave. A day or two before your trip, set aside time for each of you to do an activity that the other will like. This could be as simple as going to the movies together, or it could be something a little more ambitious like going rock climbing. All of this is to say that if you want to go away with your partner without killing each other, take some time beforehand to do things together!

3) Create a schedule and stick to it
-Get enough sleep!
-Bring some favorite snacks.
-Pack everything you could possibly need for the trip and make sure to have extra of everything just in case.
-If possible, plan at least one event for each day of your trip. This will give you something to look forward to and it’ll also keep you from getting bored with the same routine all week.
-Don’t overschedule yourself on any given day.

4) Stay close but separate
It can be hard to go away with your partner, but it’s not impossible. Follow these tips for going away without killing each other:
1) Pack a backpack instead of a suitcase: The less you have to carry, the easier it will be.
2) Take turns packing for the other person so that you know what they’re bringing: It’ll help cut down on arguments about what to wear, and there will be less surprises when you get there.

  1. Pack snacks, water, and a first-aid kit in the car.
  2. Leave your phone at home.
  3. Make sure you have a map of where you’re going to keep on hand for emergencies.
  4. Bring cards or some other form of entertainment that is portable with you.
  5. If possible, try to pack two sets of clothing so that one can be washed while the other is being worn. 6. Make sure both cars are filled up before leaving town or when refueling – it’s always better to be safe than sorry!

6) Rest up between activities
It’s important to stay well rested when you’re on vacation with your partner. You don’t want to be too tired in the morning and have a hard time getting out of bed. Plus, it’s really difficult to get any alone time with your partner if they know that you are exhausted.

7) Take lots of photos
Take lots of photos! It’s easy to get caught up in the moment and forget about all the awesome things you two are doing together, but photos will help to remind you of how much fun you had. Plus, it’s a great way to share your memories with friends and family when you get back home.

8) Be flexible and have fun!

  1. Be flexible about your itinerary. There’s a good chance that you won’t be able to do everything you wanted to do so think about what is most important and go for it.
  2. Choose one thing that you both want to do and make that the priority. It doesn’t matter if it’s not in your original itinerary – this is your time together, after all!
  3. Be willing to compromise on everything else and just enjoy being with each other!
