3 Theme Parks You Should Check Out With Your Family in Mexico City

No matter what you’re looking for in your family vacation, Mexico City offers something for everyone. After all, it’s one of the biggest and most diverse cities in all of North America, with over 23 million people residing in the metropolitan area alone! The sheer size of the city can be intimidating, but with these three theme parks, you and your family will have the perfect chance to get to know this exciting city while having a ton of fun at the same time. Here are the three theme parks you should check out with your family in Mexico City.

Six Flags, Mexico City

Despite being a US-based brand, Six Flags maintains a very successful operation in Mexico. With 2.8 million yearly visitors, it is one of Latin America’s biggest and busiest theme parks and offers a broad variety of incredible rides and performances. The park is divided into six zones: Wild West, Cartoon Town, Dream Land (for little kids), Adventure Land (for older children), Fiesta Village and Main Street. The most popular attractions are the Iron Rattler roller coaster, the Twisted Colossus and Batman: The Ride.

¡Kataplum!

We have to give Kataplum! credit for trying, even if there is no amusement park in Mexico City that even comes close to Six Flags. The adrenaline coasters, virtual reality games, and rope courses at this pastel-colored theme park are popular with young children. ¡Kung Fu Panda!: If your kids want a full day of entertainment (as well as something a little more grown up), Kung Fu Panda! is the perfect place. Families can enjoy a movie on the big screen, then head over to the adjacent indoor waterpark where they’ll find slides, splash zones, and an ice skating rink all under one roof.

Another family-friendly theme park that your kids might enjoy while visiting Mexico City is Granja Las Américas. It’s worth visiting for the vast range of activities it offers, from rides and playgrounds to climbing walls and ropes courses as well as up-close encounters with animals. The El Bebedero water park has slides and splash zones that will keep you cool all day long. Bring a picnic lunch to make a whole day out of it!
